Ayame Sohma is 27 and the Snake of the zodiac. He is Yuki's older brother. Ayame is vivacious, garrulous, and has a knack
for making Yuki and Kyo angry.
He runs a business that makes women's clothing and men's clothing and often wears women's clothing himself -- to see if they're feasible of course. He named his shop after himself and runs it with Mine, his best friend and seamstress of the store.
Vain and just slightly secretly self-conscious, he is really a thoughtful person underneath his "selective" skin. He has piercing yellow eyes and white hair compared to Yuki's violet and grey. He has a fear of being alone. Much to Yuki's surprise, Ayame was actually a student body president in high school.
Ayame maybe Yuki's big brother, but they are nothing alike. Ayame is much louder than Yuki,
not to mention much more sure of himself. He is under the impression that he is the most charming person in the world.
Ayame likes to dress up in women's clothing from time to time. His only intention is to bond with Yuki -- no matter how much it might seem like he only wants to piss everyone off.

missing the days
I was bored stiff! Anyway, it's Sunday. The shop is closed during Sundays, so might as well enjoy the day off.
I went to Gure-san's house and visited my brother Yuki. He and the world will be astounded -- not to mention amazed by my presence! Come to think of it, he was surprised the moment my foot touched the mat. He fled to the kitchen.
We hurriedly ran and left the house. But before leaving, I left Yuki-kun a note on the table saying: Yuki-kun, Gure-san and I stepped out for a while. You can have our coffee if you like. -Love Ayame Sohma."Ah, Ayame-san! How nice of you to drop by!" Gure-san sure is lively -- as always.
"Gure-san! Are you wearing a pair of reading glasses? It looks good on you... in fact, I take it back that it looks so well on you... oh what the heck! It looks perfect, Gure-san! Indeed, fit for a novelist such as you!" indeed it was perfectly fit for Shigure-san.
"Arigato, Ayame-san! Shall I get Yuki-kun to fix us a glass coffee or tea?" delighted Gure-san.
"Sur, sur. Coffee would be great!" I was actually feeling a little drafty at that time.
"Yuki-kun! Your big brother's here! Kindly whip up some coffee." shouted Gure-san at the kitchen. There was no response but a brother knows when his little brother is near...
then a silent voice was heard, "Are you sure?" It was Yuki-kun. "You know I'm not good at these type of jobs, Shigure." said little brother Yuki.
"Just put your love into it, Yuki." answered Gure-san.
"Ano, where is Tohru-kun? Mine and I designed a new dress that would be perfect for her!" I didn't see Tohru-kun in Gure-san's pad. Maybe she was hanging out?
"Ah, Tohru-kun is with her friends Hana-chan and Uo-chan. They're in the mall, I think; maybe shopping for the Holidays?" replied Gure-san. "I let Kagura-san borrow Kyo-kun today, so you know the drill."
"Excellento! Tohru-kun will be surprised! Tell her to drop by at the shop anytime soon! It's about her new dress. Tell her it's a gift from wonderful Ayame Sohma." She will be utmost surprised. I know Tohru-kun is so modest and humble. She won't expect it at all.
"Ahh, she'll be most grateful, Ayame-san!" Gure-san made sure and wrote a note in front of the door: Tohru-kun, Ayame-san made a new dress for you! Make sure you drop by sometime. -from Shigure.
"Ano, why did you leave a note? Can't you just tell her by the time she gets back?" I querried.
"I miss the good old days, Ayame-san! Let's go somewhere! I know, let's bother Hatori-san! Or nag him to come with us to a party!" suggested Gure-san. I also wanted to suggest that."You never cease to amaze me, Gure-san! Let's do both of them!"
